This coin was minted to mark the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, and the establishment of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center. The obverse depicts Lady Liberty holding the Lamp of Remembrance with beacons of light behind her. The reverse features an eagle against a backdrop of cascading water.

This medal was produced at the West Point mint and has a "W" mint mark. It contains 1 ounce of silver.
